Marion

I recently watched a few John Wayne westerns. Pretty dated but still fun, and I like westerns anyway. When I was a kid I used to borrow a book from the town library that had a great caricature of The Duke on the back cover. I can’t remember who did it but I have an idea that it was a Mullatier, it was brilliant. My little homage…

Simply phenomenal! Your work is absolutely superb. Thanks for sharing it. If you’re enjoying a little of the “Duke”, I recommend “True Grit” and “Rooster Cogburn” (if you haven’t seen them already).

Thanks guys, had fun painting up that one. Lash, yes, those are actually the two mors recent films I watched, followed by 'The Shootist'. Loved 'Rio Bravo'.

Greatest line in a Western? John Wayne taking the reigns in his mouth, drawing both barrels, and yelling at the top of his lungs, "Fill your hands you sons of bitches..."
